Gluten Free 101 Class - Saturday 10/23/10

Just wanted to toss out a quick reminder that the next Gluten Free 101 Class will be held this coming Saturday, October 23, 2010 @ 1pm.  The class is normally held at Rosie's Plate but we will be moving venues this time.  The class will be held at the Raleigh Whole Foods Market location in the classroom during the Gluten Free Fair.  Call Rosie's Plate at 833-0505 now to sign-up, there are only a limited number of seats available.  Note: All sign-ups for this class are being handled by Rosie's Plate and not Whole Foods.  Whole Foods was generous to allow us to use their classroom so we could make this class more convenient for those of you who wish to attend the GF Fair and the GF 101 Class - thanks Whole Foods!  They will also allow us to sample some GF goodies during the class that they offer for sale in the store.

The GF Fair at Whole Foods will begin at 11am and run until 2pm.  The GF 101 class starts at 1pm and will run for 2-3 hours.  So, stop in for the GF Fair and stay for the Gluten Free 101 class.  If there are still seats available, you can sign-up for this class during the GF Fair - see the Rosie's Plate table for more information.

I have taught this class several times in the past to a total of 75 people. The class is great for those transitioning to the Gluten Free diet after a Celiac or Gluten Intolerance diagnosis or those who have been GF for awhile and are looking for the latest information. We talk about restaurants, grocery shopping, reading labels and the latest and greatest news and products. If you know someone new to GF or struggling, please pass this information along.

A portion of the class fee will be donated to Gluten Free week 2011 @ Camp Kanata in Wake Forest, NC. Rosie's Plate has donated nearly $400 from previous classes already.
