New Poll Questions
Please click here to take some new poll questions I have created. The poll questions are centered around the effectiveness and use of skilled Dietitians in the practice of consulting those with Celiac Disease or those following the Gluten Free Diet. If you have not taken the other poll questions listed there, please do so. They help guide me in what I research and post about on this blog.

New Poll Question Added
I've added another new poll question to the long list of existing polls already out there on the Poll Questions page.
This time, I'm looking for your opinion on whether or not you would buy from a Gluten Free company that previously made you sick. With all that has happened recently with this situation, I'm wondering if any company out there had a chance to regain your trust once they made you or others sick from Gluten contamination.
Click the poll questions page and the new poll will be at the top. Feel free to take the other polls that are already out there.

New Poll Questions Section
Check out the new Poll Questions link at the top right of this blog. I've brought back to life the many poll questions that have been previously posted here on Gluten Free Raleigh. Most of these polls were up for around 30 days but I got to thinking that they are pretty good questions and topics, so why not leave them up all the time. Feel free to look at the list and submit your answers.
Enjoy.
Enjoy.

Poll Results tallied - New Polls added
Here are the results of the set of Poll questions that have been on Gluten Free Raleigh since 4-6-09. I try to put up new poll questions every 30 days or so. I use this information to decide what to research and write about so please vote and let me know what you are interested in!
Interestingly enough, the majority of respondents to the "What month is Celiac Awareness Month" answered every month - my personal preference. I honestly try my best to raise awareness everyday - but technically speaking I go with May as the official month in the USA (and majority of the world). Also, you can see a pretty much 50/50 split between the number of people diagnosed less than 1 year and those who took more than 10 years to get their CD diagnosis.
What Month is Celiac Disease Awareness Month?
May -3 (17%)
October -5 (29%)
April -1 (5%)
Other -1 (5%)
Every Month -7 (41%)
Votes so far: 17
How long did it take to get Diagnosed with Celiac?
Less than 1 year -9 (39%)
1 - 2 years -2 (8%)
2 - 5 years -1 (4%)
5 - 10 years -3 (13%)
More than 10 years -8 (34%)
Votes so far: 23
I have also added some new Poll Questions to the right side bar. I will continue to put up new Polls often to try to get a better understanding of what readers of this blog would like me to focus on.

20% of you cheat on your Gluten Free Diet!
Yikes - so from my last poll questions I see that nearly 20% of you cheat on your Gluten Free diets! I know that I do my best to never cheat no matter how bad I want a freakin Krispy Kreme donut! I was surprised to see 20% though.
This has lead me to wonder the reasons behind why people cheat on the diet.
FYI - The Gluten Free Raleigh Blog nor any doctor I know of would endorse cheating on your Gluten Free Diet (especially if it is medically required in the case of Celiac Disease). If you need any re-enforcement to stay on your GF Diet, then take a look at this article which says you are 5.35 times more likely to develop non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
