Raleigh Cel-Kids Support Group Meeting - May 15th

Just wanted to let those of you out there with Celiac children know about the upcoming Raleigh Cel-Kids Support Group meeting on Saturday, May 15th, 2010 from 4pm - 6pm.  The event will be held at Baileywick Park and will feature Mellow Mushroom Gluten Free Pizza and desserts from Moonlight Bakery.  If you have not see the groups blog, click here - lots of good information for parents.

It is getting close to our Raleigh Cel-Kids event on Saturday, May 15, at Baileywick Park from 4-6pm, please let us know if your family will be attending by emailing us @ raleigh.celkids@gmail.com. We are planning on gluten-free pizza donated from Mellow Mushroom and gluten-free desserts donated from Moonlight Bakery. Please RSVP by Monday, May 10th, so we can plan for the amount of food! Thanks! We will be in the shelter area with picnic tables directly by the restrooms and parking area. There is a large playground, fields, and walking trails. Hope you can join us!

Raleigh Cel-Kids Support Group Meeting - Feb 27th

Just wanted to let those of you out there with Celiac children know about the upcoming Raleigh Cel-Kids Support Group meeting on Saturday, February 27th, 2009 from 2pm - 4pm.  The event will be held at the Raleigh Earth Fare (Brier Creek) and will feature a cookie taste test.  If you have not see the groups blog, click here - lots of good information for parents.

Bring the family and please join our Raleigh Cel-Kids group at Earth Fare on February 27th from 4-6pm. Earth Fare is providing gluten-free cookies for tasting! Earth Fare is located on Moncreiffe Road, off of Brier Creek Parkway.

Raleigh Cel-Kids Support Group - November Meeting

The Raleigh Cel-Kids Support Group has scheduled an upcoming meeting on Wednesday November 11th. See below for the details.

Raleigh Cel-Kids Support Group - May Meeting

The Raleigh Cel-Kids Support Group has scheduled an upcoming meeting on Sunday May 31st. See below for the details.
Raleigh Cel-Kids Pizza Party on Sunday, May 31st at 1pm!
Enjoy gluten-free pizzas at Bella Monica restaurant in the Olde Raleigh Village Shopping Center (3121-103 Edwards Mill Road, Raleigh). This is a fabulous opportunity for your family to sample tasty gluten-free pizza donated by Bella Monica.

We hope to see you there, as always, please let us know if you can make it! (More info or RSVP to raleigh.celkids@gmail.com). Also, we are helping Bella Monica by providing feedback on pizza crusts, different tastes, what types of GF products families want, etc. so we really want families to come to contribute.

Raleigh Cel-Kids Support Group Update

I mentioned in a previous post about the Raleigh Cel-Kids Support Group. The group is newly formed and currently has around 15 families. They have quarterly meetings which usually involve some Gluten Free samples and fun activities for kids.

The Celiac kid focused group will be conducting their next meeting on February 21, 2009 from 1pm - 3pm at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Wake Forest, NC. The address is 520 W. Holding Avenue. Plans include some events and activities for the children, in addition to time for the parents to sit and discuss what they are doing to help their children succeed. Twins Kitchen will be generously donating Gluten Free samples and snacks for the meeting.

Cel-Kids - Celiac Support Group for Children

Have a child with Celiac Disease? Interested in a support group with other Celiac children? Raleigh is lucky enough to have an Adult support group and a Children's support group!

Check out Raleigh Cel-Kids next meeting on November 8th, 2008 at Impact Athletics & Fitness Center in Cary (280 Towerview Ct). The meeting is from 4pm - 6pm. Plans include some events and activities for the children, in addition to time for the parents to sit and discuss what they are doing to help their children succeed.
