I came across a new resource for those of us living the Gluten Free Lifestyle that should prove to be very helpful in the future. When I was first diagnosed, I searched for basically anything labeled Gluten Free and usually bought it on the spot. It was discouraging to get home and try the product only to find out it wasn't any good. Too bad you already spent $6 on that loaf of bread that tastes like a brick or $5 on that box of cereal that tastes like cardboard. Wouldn't it be great if you could get coupons for GF food items (especially ones you've never tried before)? I'm not sure I have seen any coupons other than maybe 1 or 2 in a hard to find Whole Foods circular.
Well, it seems that a new website called
BeFreeForMe.com was launched today that should help with this issue. BeFreeForMe.com was created by food marketing industry veteran and fellow Celiac Kathleen Reale and is the first and only Web site to offer coupons and samples to food allergy sufferers. Membership to the Web site is free and includes monthly newsletters and quarterly coupon books. They also offer up GF receipes and food news and appear to be donating a portion of their proceeds to the
NFCA and the
Food Allergy Initiative.
ENJOY!
